Creating Connections

“Valerie is that one therapist you hope to find. She offers her authenticity, expertise, and warm attunement in every session. What distinguishes her from others is her integrative approach, including how she invites both mind and body into the work. I found her yoga series to be a really helpful supplement to therapy, especially for exploring choice and movement. My time with Valerie has helped me to become unstuck, find my voice, and feel greater connection in life.”

An authentic connection guiding an

Authentic transformation to become

Authentically you.

If you found yourself here, I imagine you’ve been worried or frustrated with how to solve a problem or a theme that continues to show up in your life. Maybe you’ve been feeling sad and lonely, wishing for more connection in your relationships. You know that something needs to be different, but you aren’t sure what that is quite yet. I can imagine you’ve been attempting to make this problem go away or to solve it, but it hasn’t worked so you found yourself exploring resources to help you figure this out.

These are common experiences for folks who work with me. For well over a decade, folks have sought me out to support them in feeling more of something (more connected, more happiness) and less of something else (less worry, less sadness, less frustration). They most often are wanting to feel different: to feel different in their relationships, their work, their choices, but aren’t sure how.

Having an extensive background in attachment, neuroscience, and relational trauma allows me to understand these experiences and why themes or patterns continue to show up in people’s lives. This background also allows me to support folks in making these connections while discovering their needs, wishes, and desires that help shape new choices and new ways of engaging. As a result, people report feeling more connected in their relationships, free of relationships that turn out to be not supportive, more empowered in their choices and choice making. Overall, this leads to folks being and feeling happier, more connected, empowered, and even finding creativity in their lives.

“Valerie has been my therapist for about 5 years and my experience has been incredibly positive. Through our work together Valerie has helped me to feel seen and heard, which has empowered me to make changes and navigate life in a healthier way. Years into our therapeutic relationship my husband passed away unexpectedly, and Valerie's ability to support me through my grief journey helped me become stronger and find growth through trauma. Valerie is the absolute best!!! “ ~Current Client
